Simple Tools to Uplift Your Spirit
by Francoise Rapp

Attaining and maintaining a constant positive mood and attitude is a task we wish to accomplish on a daily basis! When our morale is uplifted and free of any gloom, we can then perceive harmony and peace within and surrounding us.

There are very simple and effective tools to help you overcome negative feelings, apprehension, worries, and nervous/emotional exhaustion. You can uplift your spirit by using the followings tools on a daily basis:

The Power of Breathing Colors
Essential Oils
Flower Essences

These natural therapies act not only individually but also in combination. Allow intuition and creativity to be at play! When used on a regular basis, they act in a subtle yet profound manner, allowing us to attain harmony and serenity with ease and enjoyment.

Breathing is the Most Vital Tool We Possess
We've all experienced how taking deep and regular breaths before an intense event supports our emotional and mental attitude.

When you feel any burden, fatigue, or negative feelings, try the following:

Sit in a comfortable position.
Take a few deep and regular breaths until you feel a constant and harmonious flow coming in and out.
Once your mind is quiet and peaceful, visualize yourself surrounded by a beautiful, gold, sparkling aura.
Inhale deeply and hold the image (count to 4) and allow the color and a very positive image within you.
Exhale and visualize your negative thoughts leaving you.
Repeat the exercise 5 times.
If you work or live in an hostile environment, visualize a beautiful and brilliant light blue color around you.

Essential Oils Act Powerfully on our Mood and Emotions

When your attitude needs a boost, use a blend and anoint the corresponding chakra and deeply breathe the scent. When you need to "wash off" a gloomy day, then use them diluted and poured into your warm bath water.

Use this "Morning Boost" on the third chakra or along the spine:

rosemary
lemon
orange
grapefruit
ravensara
basil

Or try this "Evening Blend":

orange
lavender
geranium
chamomile (German and roman)

Flower Essences Act Quickly and Profoundly
They are wonderful to use on the onset and/or on a few days basis.

Here are some examples:

- nervous exhaustion:

Aloe Vera, Borage, Dandelion, Cayenne

- apprehension:

Golden Yarrow, Goldenrod, Larkspur

- negative feelings:

Morning Glory, Nicotiana, St John’s Wort, Scotch Broom

- worries:

Yarrow, Houd’s Tongue, Borage
