Glazed Strawberry Tarts

Ingredients
1
x 215g sheet, ready-rolled puff pastry (or bought puff pastry
cases)
30ml/1 fl oz milk
300ml/1/2 pint
double cream, whipped
1 tbsp Lyle's Golden Syrup
225g/8 oz strawberries, hulled and quartered
1 tbsp Lyle's Squeezy Syrup Strawberry Flavour

Method
1. Heat oven to 200/fan 220/gas
5. Lay out the puff pastry and with a 98mm pastry cutter (or an upside
down glass), cut out 4 rounds. With a smaller (78mm) pastry cutter
(or smaller upside down glass), make an incision in the middle of
the pastry disk, all the way through. Glaze the pastry with the milk.
2. Lay on a lined tray and bake
in the oven for 10 mins or until risen, crisp and golden. Cool on
a wire rack.
3. Very carefully cut around the
inner circle (that was scored with the smaller pastry cutter) and
remove. Scoop out the excess pastry from the middle to leave a crisp
pastry case.
4. Mix the whipped cream and Lyle's
Golden Syrup to make a delicate, sweet Chantilly cream. Fill the cases
with the cream and top with mounds of strawberries. Finally, with
a pastry brush, glaze the strawberries with Lyle's Squeezy Syrup Strawberry
Flavour.
Serve
between 4 plates.
